Maxine Waters Urges DOJ to Target Trump Supporters

( – Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton called some of former President Donald Trump’s supporters “deplorables” during the 2016 presidential race. The Left has repeatedly targeted them since then. Now, a congresswoman has called on the Department of Justice to go after them.

On May 5, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) appeared on MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show with John Capehart.” She claimed far-right Trump supporters were “training up in the hills somewhere” and figuring out which communities they’re going to attack. She claimed the former president was telling Americans “there is going to be violence if he loses.”

Waters expressed the need to know what Trump’s plan is if he doesn’t win again and how the government is going to protect the American people. The congresswoman said she’s going to reach out to the Department of Justice and ask President Joe Biden what they’re going to do to “protect this country against violence.”

Democrats have warned about a repeat of the January 6 attack for months. They are concerned the violence could be even worse next time. The Left is using Trump’s words against him and hyping up the mainstream media.

In a recent interview with TIME magazine, the former president said he didn’t think there would be violence in the wake of the 2024 election because he thinks he will win. But he said it “always depends on the fairness of an election.”

The former president has repeatedly stated that he will pardon individuals who were convicted of crimes on January 6. That has caused Democrats to melt down in rage. They’ve pointed out that some of those imprisoned were locked up because they attacked law enforcement officers and severely injured some of them.

Waters’ remarks aren’t the first time she has targeted Trump and his supporters. During his presidency, she called on Democratic protesters to confront officials who worked for him when they saw them out in public. During his administration, multiple Trump White House employees complained about poor treatment while they were at restaurants and other places.
