Kamala Harris Humiliated During Visit to US Territory

(UnitedVoice.com) – Vice President Kamala Harris has had a rocky term in the White House. That’s evident in her terrible poll numbers. It was also on display when she recently visited Puerto Rico.

On March 22, Harris visited a community center in San Juan’s Santurce neighborhood. While there, she took a tour of the center and spoke to the staff and community leaders. The vice president’s motorcade was greeted by a crowd of residents.

Some of the people held up signs protesting the administration’s stance on the war in Gaza. One of the signs referred to the Veep as a “war criminal,” and another said the US was committing genocide.

While at the center, six musicians played Harris a song. At first, she clapped along and smiled to the music. Then, an aide who was standing next to her translated the lyrics of the protest tune to her.

According to translations of the song, it said, “We want to know, Kamala, what did you come here for? We want to know … Long live Free Palestine and Haiti, too.”

President Joe Biden and Harris have received a tremendous amount of backlash for their policies in Israel. Although the administration’s officials have called for a ceasefire, they claimed it was intended to help get the hostages out of the country — and they are still funding Israel’s military budget.

During her trip to Puerto Rico, the vice president touted the government’s efforts to help Puerto Rico rebuild after Hurricane Maria hit the island during former President Donald Trump’s administration. The category 5 storm destroyed the island and killed approximately 2,975 people. Harris said the Biden admin has invested more than $140 billion into Puerto Rico since taking office in January 2021.

The administration is hoping to bolster its support among Hispanic Americans as the country moves toward the November general election. Puerto Ricans can vote in the election but don’t have Electoral College representation.
